The youth division is for boys and girls ages 5 to 16. Girls signed up in this division will have the option to move to the girls only division should we have enough interest. On the other hand, girls from the all girls division may be asked to play in the coed division should there not be enough players  in the all girls division. 

Gladiator Flag Football employs a unique and elaborate player rating system - exclusive to this league, and crafted by an actuarial mathematician. After a preseason combine evaluation day, players will receive a separate offensive, defensive and overall rating. To avoid bullying these ratings will not be made public for the youth divisions. Our unique software will then sort the players in a snake draft order to ensure parity across all age groups. Teams may not sign up as a unit. As the league grows in popularity we may add a youth team division.

Many recreational sports leagues have issues with strong teams playing below their actual level or playing against teams made up of recreational players, and thus causing major discrepancies in caliber amongst teams. This tends to have a negative impact on the league as a whole. We feel our current system safeguards against this issue.

Playing flag football allows kids to build fundamental athletic skills such as running, catching, passing, and teamwork. Being part of a team and attending practices and games requires discipline and commitment. Kids learn to manage their time effectively and set and achieve goals. Sports in general can boost a child's self-esteem and confidence. It provides opportunities for personal achievement and recognition. Most importantly, playing flag football is enjoyable and fun for kids. It provides moments of excitement and joy, fostering a lifelong love for physical activity and play.
